When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

I am proud to offer quality products, directly from the producer, handmade, healthy, cared for, local.

What is the history of your commerce?

I live in this neighbourhood and when the confinement ended and the tourists were no longer there, I realised that there were no shops in the neighbourhood for everyday shopping because everything was focused on them. It is a neighbourhood where it is difficult to shop if you do not go to the big stores, and you do not always find the quality you want there. So I proposed it to a friend and we decided to take the project forward.

I have been involved in animal nutrition for 20 years and this has led me to meet good producers. People who do it very well, with quality and a lot of love. And this led me to set up this Ultramarinos shop to be able to offer my neighbours the best products at good prices.

What is your professional experience?

I am a biochemist with a masters degree in biotechnology. I am also a naturopath and have been working in animal nutrition for 20 years.

I have a partner who is an agricultural engineer and has a biotechnology company where, among other things, she manufactures human growth factors from vegetable plants using a patented method.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

Here in the neighbourhood there are a lot of older people who do not go out much.

In general there are few people on the street.

What services and products does your business provide?

Quality products, directly from the producer, giving life to the artisan producers of Spain.

We serve with love and also at home.
