What is the history of your commerce?

Six years ago I decided to become an entrepreneur simply because it was a dream I had always had. Healthy eating was central to my life, so I studied Food Science at Sheffield Hallam University in 1995. I was passionate about the world of bees. I knew that "The Nurse" would be the name of the shop and my role when I took a course in beekeeping to broaden my knowledge.
In the old days, the "Nodrizas" were the women who suckled infants that were not their own children.
I chose it because of the "Nurse bees" who are in charge of producing Royal Jelly to feed the queen bee and larvae among other functions; the verb nutrio means to feed/nourish; function of the Nurse bees. With my shop I can choose quality food and products to nourish and care for the health of my customers based on my studies, knowledge, experiences and travels around the world.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

I have not had to close down because I am an Essential Food shop. I have been helped by the neighbourhood, they have chosen to spend more in my shop instead of ordering online. I also became a customer of Nacex to send orders to customers on the outskirts of Madrid who could not travel because of the confinement.
