Interview to the commerce

When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

For more than ten years we have been making the best selection of sweets made in different convents in Spain, and we bring them fresh every week so that you can taste the flavour of sweets made in a calm, artisan way, and with the best raw materials.
Jams, madeleines, yemas, marzipans, nevaditos, truffles, angel hair pastries, mantecados, almond pastries... and many more products in our 17th century premises (at the back of the Corpus Christi convent), right next to the Plaza de la Villa.

What is the history of your commerce?

We wanted to bring the taste of childhood, of handmade desserts, in an artisan way without having to travel from province to province, convent to convent.
Our passion for aromas also led us to have a space dedicated to handmade vegetable candles made in Spain.

What is your professional experience?

I am a fashion stylist; I travelled a lot, and my dream was to have a business close to home.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

As with all small businesses, ERTES, difficulty paying fixed costs, and doubts about whether we can stay afloat. We have launched online sales to try to refloat the business.

Sweets and desserts made by nuns and monks in convents and monasteries in Spain. Centuries-old recipes and traditional flavours.
