CASA MIRA offers the "best nougat in Spain", artisan and traditional. Located in an unbeatable location very close to las Cortes and Puerta del Sol, in the heart of Madrid de los Austrias.
We are the first nougat shop in Madrid with artisan production and traditional ingredients that have crossed borders.
In our workshop we only work with the best raw materials to offer only the highest quality.
We elaborate our products with the love for the centenary tradition that supports us.

What is the history of your commerce?

157 years ago Luis Mira, a master turrón artisan with an unusual entrepreneurial vision for the time, wanted to try his luck in Madrid. He left his native Jijona with a cart pulled by two donkeys, loaded with nougat, and set off for the capital. The story (which has almost become legend) goes that he had to restart his journey up to four times, as he sold the goods before reaching Madrid, his destination, because of how delicious and tasty they were.

What is your professional experience?

The professional experience in the sector of the gastronomic craftsmanship of nougat and confectionery comes from belonging to a centuries-old lineage of master nougat makers.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

It has been a new period of adaptation and changes. At CASA MIRA we have focused our efforts on maintaining the quality of our product as usual and the health of our customers as always.

What services and products does your business provide?

Handmade nougats from the centuries-old family recipe book, home-made candied fruit, Christmas specialities from Jijona and Spain, an excellent and acclaimed assortment of pastries, traditional Spanish pastries of the highest quality.
