When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

From my clients: the trust they place in you, that they know your first name, that they ask you about your family and that you can do the same. Discovering wonderful people and, above all, getting better day by day, every crisis, every blow... So far Ive managed it!

What is the history of your commerce?

La Fondí is the first cheese shop in Madrid. Before, there were grocery shops and other shops that sold cheese, but not a specialised shop as such.

What is your professional experience?

I had always worked in the hotel and catering business and I saw the opportunity to discover a new business, to start up, to take an adventure.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

It was hard at first. I opened the shop but the streets were desolate, it was a very abnormal sense of normality. As people came out onto the streets, sales picked up.
There were some very good weeks thanks to a twitter thread that spread the word about the shop.... thanks to my niece!

What services and products does your business provide?

Artisan cheeses, most of them Spanish, although we also have some French, Swiss and Italian cheeses. We also have cured meats and accompaniments.
