When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

Innovative and modern space that groups the sections of Charcuterie (Iberian Products from different D.O., National and International cooked sausages, Pâtés...both cut and in pieces), Cheese (National and International Cheeses) and Gourmet Products (Wines, Oils, Sauces, Premium Preserves, Sweets, Delicatessen...).
What makes us unique is the quality of our products and above all the close and friendly treatment we give to our customers.

What is the history of your commerce?

Albesim Espacio Gourmet has a long commercial and family tradition. It started out under the name of Simón in premises located in López de Hoyos. Later, in 1950, it moved to the Prosperidad Market.
When the decline of the Prosperidad Market began in 2011, the current owners decided to open a new shop at street level in C/Marcenado 1. This Gourmet Space has become a reference in the neighbourhood as far as Gourmet Products are concerned.
In 2015, the complete refurbishment of the Prosperidad Market was undertaken and the current owners decided to open 4 premises (15-18) with different sections: Casquería y Pollería, Carnicería, Charcutería, Quesería y Ahumados.

What is your professional experience?

Both my partner and I are training and marketing consultants. The sale of the shares of our consultancy together with the retirement of my partner's father, the owner of the business, led us to take over this business.
We decided to take on this project with innovative ideas both in terms of image and product.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

COVID affected our trade seriously.
From the beginning of the pandemic, our shop opened its doors to offer basic products and to deliver home orders to people affected by the virus. We were only open in the mornings to preserve the health of the Albesim team and in the afternoons we were already behind closed doors to manage orders and bureaucratic procedures.

At first, we thought that with the return to normality our business would also return to normality, but it was not like that. Consumer habits have changed a lot and, in general, customers prefer to go out to eat or to terraces rather than eat/dine at home.

This has led us to give a new twist to the business and to reinvent ourselves and "it seems" that this option is giving results.

What services and products does your business provide?

In the Charcuterie section we offer Iberian products from different D.O. (Hams, Shoulders, Chorizos, Salchichón, Fuet,...), Pates, Smoked products, Cooked products,...
In the Cheese section we offer a wide variety of National and International Cheeses.
In the Gourmet Products section we have White and Red Wines from different D.O., Premium Preserves, 5th range dishes, Gourmet Sweets, Premium Vegetables and Vegetables, Sauces, Jams,...
