When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

Probably two things. On the one hand, our commitment to animal health, which leads us to choose only natural and top quality food and snack products, with human grade ingredients. This means that we choose not to market certain well-known brands, which may have good profit margins, but which we know are not the most suitable for feeding our animals. In addition, we are constantly updating our knowledge of the new varieties of food and nutritional supplements that appear on the market so that we can always offer the best solutions to our customers.
On the other hand, our concept of canine and feline aesthetics, which leads us to work in a low-stress grooming salon, where the welfare of the animals is always put before merely aesthetic criteria or the profitability of a quick job. Every dog needs its time and we give it to it.

What is the history of your commerce?

La Caseta de Willy is a dream come true in March 2018. We are a family business born out of love for animals and our aim is to provide our dog and cat companions with everything they may need to enjoy a healthy and happy life.
We have a special dedication to the world of the greyhound, for which Willy, our galquete, is to blame. From our experience as volunteers in a shelter in Madrid, we discovered these special beings, which caused us an acute galguitis whose effects are already for life. That's why in our kennel you can find everything you need for them.
But our love embraces all dogs. They are all welcome and for all of them you can find what you need. And of course also for cats, because our family is multiracial. We know that they are very special beings and that's why here you will find a wide range of articles so that you can always get it right. We know and adore them precisely because they are the way they are. When a cat chooses you, the bond that emerges is unique and wonderful.

What is your professional experience?

I have been running this business for 6 years now. My previous experience was always in the IT sector where I worked for 20 years in different roles within the same company. I decided to become self-employed because I wanted to embark on this adventure that had always been on my mind, but for which I had never had the courage, and why not say it, the necessary initial capital.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

With COVID we had to do without the hairdressing service, although, by offering food, we were able to keep the shop part open, which allowed us to more or less survive those hard months, in which we had to continue to meet the costs of renting the premises and so forth.

What services and products does your business provide?

Natural food, low stress hairdressing, all kinds of toys and accessories, personalised advice and attention, home delivery, physical and online shop.

What other NGOs do you collaborate with?

I am a volunteer for ACUNR (Animales Con Un Nuevo Rumbo), an animal shelter located in Arganda (Madrid), where we adopted our greyhound and for which I collect donations of food, blankets, toys,...as well as helping them in the Christmas campaign to sell lottery tickets and calendars.
I also collaborate with Proyecto Cañada (also from Madrid), with a piggy bank in which I collect donations that customers want to make to help.
