When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

We are proud of the special relationship we have with our customers, of all that we have learnt and evolved over the last twenty years, of the number of people who have let this wonderful hobby into their homes thanks to a recommendation from us and are now regular customers and good friends. Of the enormous amount of things we have undertaken and embarked on, regardless of whether they have turned out better or worse in the end.

What is the history of your commerce?

We have two shops in Madrid: Retiro and Alcobendas. We know that there are games for all times, for all people. You decide when, with whom and where you play and we help you choose the perfect game.

We are a family business that offers excitement and different ways to entertain yourself. We specialise in board games that encourage interaction, communication and healthy fun. We have puzzles and jigsaw puzzles for alert minds. Strategy games that recreate alternative worlds. Childrens games for learning while having fun. Games from other cultures. Original gifts for companies. A world of possibilities within games.

We distinguish ourselves by advising our clients. We explain the games and recommend them according to what they are looking for. They assure us that, when they let us advise them, they are not wrong. Excellent service is the way to have loyal customers, friends and fans who make us grow.

If there is one thing that cannot be missing in our shops, it is a table. That space where you can get to know the games, their beauty, the strategy of their games and understand everything they can offer us. After twenty years teaching games, it is clear to us that at our table you will continue to do one thing: PLAY.

What is your professional experience?

This business was created by a mother and daughter who one day left their professional careers (one a physiotherapist and the other a lawyer) to embark on a leisure adventure without knowing where it would lead them. Twenty years later, they still enjoy working together and sharing the fruits of their labour.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

During the Covid crisis we had to temporarily close both shops. We kept all our activity at a standstill and decided not to even do distance selling because we felt that "staying at home" applied to our entire team and to the transporters who were not involved in the delivery of essential goods. Ours is an important commodity during the confinement but it is not a basic necessity, so we have only resumed our activity when the opening of physical trade has been allowed. Now, we look forward with a smile to the visit of all our old and new customers.
