Interview to the commerce

When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

The selection of books we have, everything we recommend we have read.
We also select all the children's and young people's books with a lot of interest.
It is a stock bookshop, our main job is to read in order to be able to recommend.
When we like a book, it stays in our stock, so there are books that we have been selling since the beginning.
It is a great job and the most beautiful thing when dealing with people, many times they tell us the good and the success of the recommendation in a difficult moment of a person.

Interview to the commerce

What is the history of your commerce?

The bookshop opened in 1989, and it is María's dream and vocation to transmit culture.
It went through a crisis in 2013 and was on the verge of closing, but a group of friends suggested that she set up a Cultural Club.
And from then on we do many activities such as gatherings, meetings with publishers, writers, poets, philosophers, translators.
We also give philosophy courses and go on cultural trips.
A community of friends of Ontanilla has been created.
