When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

To be different from the rest of our competition. We do unusual things in the sector because, for us, the visitor's sensory experience is more important than whether they buy from us or not.

What is the history of your commerce?

We opened in 1993 and have always been a neighbourhood comic book shop in a city where all the comic book shops tend to be clustered together in the centre.

We have been committed to manga since 1993, and in 2012 we received our first major international recognition with that year's Eisner Award. In 2025, we followed that up with a second one.

We are now a destination for visitors from all corners of the world, as we have a real stone cathedral inside the bookshop among its various immersive decorations.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

Not at all. We launched our website in 1995, when it was met with ridicule by society, and thanks to that, we were able to work online during the pandemic without layoffs, temporary layoffs or loans. In fact, the pandemic gave us a spectacularly large online presence (e-commerce) from that moment onwards.

What services and products does your business provide?

Reading fantasy and fiction, comics and manga. Other services include talks at schools, storytelling for children, a new readers' academy and guided tours.
