When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

La Mar de Letras is based on the pleasure of reading. We are looking for sailors who love reading. We create profiles because we believe that each child is unique: they have their own tastes, their level of activity, the way they relate to others or explore the world... We believe that there are those who explore themselves, those who reflect, those who are friendly, those who express themselves, and those who act. This attitude to life influences what you enjoy reading. So we can find out which books each of us might like best. What is your son or daughter like?

What is the history of your commerce?

La Mar de Letras has been sailing the seas of childrens literature for more than 20 years, but our crew has just celebrated its first birthday on March 7th. Raquel and Elena, who are in the shop, are experts in childrens literature. We love album books and those books without letters (silent books) because we believe that every reader is free to imagine a new story every time.

What is your professional experience?

All of us who sail in La Mar de Letras have been pirates on other ships. We have been brought together by the desire to sail through childrens literature.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

We have stopped the activities we had planned: courses, readings, workshops with writers and illustrators. But we have also noticed that the activities in our networks and book sales have worked once we were able to open our doors. There are children who need to travel and go out through literature and we are happy to be there to accompany them on that journey.
