Panta Rhei is a bookshop in the centre of Madrid specialising in illustration and creativity.

If you like illustrated books, Panta Rhei is the perfect place to find beautiful editions of illustrated travel books, biographies, narrative books, graphic novels, etc.

And if you want to give free rein to your creativity, you can dive into our selection of books to learn how to draw, embroider, paint, print, etc.

We also have a space for creative workshops and an exhibition of prints.

What is the history of your commerce?

Panta Rhei is the project of the sisters Lilo & Ingrid Acebal.

After leading a nomadic life, jumping from continent to continent, in 2001 we returned to Madrid to open PANTA RHEI, driven by our passion for books and illustration.

Since then, the project has evolved into what it is today: a space that aims to flood your senses with the pleasure of reading and enjoying illustrated and carefully selected editions that travel from anywhere in the world to the centre of Madrid.

What is your professional experience?

Before opening PANTA RHEI we worked in different fields.

Lilo has always been involved in the field of culture (both in cultural management and teaching) and Ingrid in management in different companies and management of a health foundation.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

Although we closed the first months of total confinement, we were always able to be in contact with our customers through appointments and advice by video call and on-line sales were boosted.

What services and products does your business provide?

Panta Rhei is a bookshop where you will also find a wide selection of prints and where you can sign up for the many workshops that are organised.
