Interview to the commerce

When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

The Acre Market recovers those basic food shops for Mediterranean cuisine, all of them available to buy in bulk so that people can make a tailor-made purchase, choosing the quantities and varieties that suit their tastes and needs.

We sell milk in bulk, village bread in bulk, cereals, pulses, rice, flour, nuts and dried fruits...

You can bring your own containers and you will benefit from a discount that rewards your efforts to avoid waste packaging.

We even have a range of wines and vermouth that you can take away in an old-fashioned glass bottle and if you return it, we will reimburse you for the hulls.

What is the history of your commerce?

ACRE was created in 2016 with the intention of recovering a shop that existed for decades in Spain, the grocers shop, the grocers shop... an endless number of names to describe a neighbourhood shop where you can do your daily shopping, with a selection of seasonal and local products.

Our motto is, an ACRE is 60 hectares of cultivated land, a world full of ACRES, if we eat consciously there will be enough for everyone, just buy what you need...

What is your professional experience?

I am a telecommunications engineer and in 2014 I set up my first online flower and plant shop WWW.FLOREA.ES, nowadays working successfully, with several physical shops in Madrid and whose latest proposal is the assembly of flower Corners in other spaces.

In 2016 I started the ACRE Market project.

Currently looking for premises to start a new project...

How has covid 19 affected your business?

The truth is that in a positive way.
The food retail sector has perhaps been one of the sectors that, with the restrictions in the hotel and catering industry, has increased, perhaps due to the fact that families eat and dine more at home.

The introduction of teleworking has also led to this situation.
