When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

Proud to be an endurance bookshop since 1962, serving with care and professionalism and where customers are called by name when they come in.

We have the oldest active bookseller in the trade, almost certainly the longest-serving.

What is the history of your commerce?

Reno began as a text bookshop and export bookshop for the philology departments of universities all over America. We opened to the public at a difficult time for literature and we are still here.
Now, we have given a new impulse to the business, with a new image, online sales, etc.

What is your professional experience?

At the moment, the shop is run by the second generation of booksellers. After finishing my university studies and running a large-scale business, although never disconnected from my parents' bookshop, I realised that my place and vocation were here, surrounded by books and interesting people who enrich me every day.
Despite the difficulties of being self-employed today, we are still here with vocation and love for what we do.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

It was a tough time, but the response from our customers during the closure was exciting. That gave us the strength to carry out this new stage with even more enthusiasm.

What services and products does your business provide?

Attention and professional treatment, without neglecting the closeness with each client. We try to locate any book published in Spain, even if it is difficult (that is our challenge).
We have online sales with two modalities: collection at the bookshop, for those who prefer to come and "smell the book"; home delivery, for those who have problems of time or distance.
Soon, we will resume the presentations, literary talks and signings in the new space that we have enabled and that was the old warehouse (those walls have a lot of literary flavour).
