When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

We are proud to be neighbours of the neighbourhood (we were before we opened the shop and we still are), to showcase the work of small artisans and national artists, to bring wonderful products from the other side of the world such as Japanese stationery, to be a shop where people like to come.

What is the history of your commerce?

At the head of El Moderno Concept Store are Delphine Costenoble and David Yerga, neighbours of Malasaña.

We are passionate about art, fashion and design.

Since 2016 we have been working together with a great team to try to brighten up your day to day and make you a little happier.

At Corredera Baja de San Pablo 19, a two-storey space is waiting for you where you can discover our selection of treasures: simple, fresh, authentic, elegant and friendly objects that we love for their originality, creativity and design.

At El Moderno Concept Store, timeless design icons coexist with craftsmanship and contemporary objects.

We look for and choose from the best designers, artists and craftsmen on the local and international scene, products that excite us and have a combination of quality and modernity.

What is your professional experience?

Delphine worked for fashion brands as a visual merchandising manager and David worked as a creative director in the digital world.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

Unfortunately we have had to lay off some of our staff. We would love to get the business back on track soon so that we can get it back. It has also meant that we have had to put more effort into our website www.elmoderno.es in order to give visibility to all our stock.
