When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

From the wide range of products on offer at low prices. We sell culture, not fast-moving consumer goods, and that can also be a reason to be proud of. I had never really thought about it.

What is the history of your commerce?

Liquidator music is the physical shop of the record label of the same name located in El Rastro in Madrid. Our business started in 1997 although it wasnt until 2016 when we decided to open a shop to the public.

Our shop is decorated by the artist Pedro Poyatos and the content is mainly black music, with a special focus on Jamaican music from the 60s and 70s, although we are open to many other styles. We sell new records and also second hand and collectibles, as well as books and accessories of various kinds.

What is your professional experience?

Show business, sound technician and music producer. Since 1992 involved in the recording world and since the end of the 80s regular DJ in various nightclubs.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

Negatively, the closure of the shop for so many weeks has had a very negative economic impact.

What services and products does your business provide?

Records, mainly vinyl, but also CDs, DVDs and cassettes. We focus on black music, with a special focus on Jamaican music from the 60s and 70s, although we are open to many other styles.
