When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

From the effort and care we put into our work. Of being able to offer our customers design and fashion produced ethically and respectfully at affordable prices. Of being an example that another way of buying and consuming is possible. And of working with wonderful designers.

What is the history of your commerce?

La Positiva was born in May 2016 in Madrid. I, Saray, a stylist and designer from Madrid, had been dreaming of such a project for a long time. I really wanted to create my own design and fashion space, a nice place where I could find a lot of creativity. The opportunity arose and, although, with infinite fear and all my inexperience in entrepreneurship, I decided to take the plunge. Thanks to the support of my family and friends from the beginning, and later thanks to all our customers, today we are still here, at the foot of the cannon, offering beautiful things to beautiful people.

What is your professional experience?

Before starting La Positiva, I had worked as a fashion and audiovisual stylist and make-up artist, alternating it with jobs in front of the public. I decided to launch myself into the world of entrepreneurship because I really wanted to develop myself with a personal project related to fashion and design. And also because I didnt know how complicated it is to be self-employed in this country hehe But, above all, there was something inside me that vibrated and that searched for that path until it found it ?

How has covid 19 affected your business?

These have been very difficult months at all levels. Financially we continue to assume all our expenses and the income fluctuates a lot... We notice a very strong commitment and support from our customers and we are infinitely grateful, because if we continue to be it is thanks to them ? On the other hand, there has been a shift in the way of consumption, and now there are much less people in the physical shop, while we sell much more through Instagram (the online shop of the website is under construction) and sending the purchases.

What services and products does your business provide?

La Positiva is a fashion, design and art space full of creativity and freshness. In our shop you can find lots of clothes, jewellery, backpacks and bags, sunglasses, soaps, decorative objects... all made ethically and respectfully by independent brands. We believe that there is another way of more conscious consumption and we try to reflect this in every item in our shop.
