LA RECOVA
Interview to the commerce

When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

Our leitmotiv: that quality does not have to go hand in hand with a reasonable price.
We take great care in researching and restoring the pieces in order to have the most original selection possible, with the fifties and sixties European flavour that characterises us.

Interview to the commerce

What is the history of your commerce?

We opened our first shop, La Recova, in El Rastro in 2009 with the intention of showing retro and vintage pieces from Central Europe, anonymous pieces where design at a very affordable price prevailed in order to bring them closer to the general public.

Two years ago we opened MidCentury-La Recova in Chueca (Pelayo 62) with a much more exquisite air in keeping with the Salesas neighbourhood where priority is given to designer pieces and major Nordic, English and Italian brands.

What is your professional experience?

We believe in small businesses, in local and quality commerce. We take great care when choosing and displaying the pieces, as well as showing all our affection to the people who visit us. In our shops we try to create synergies, we do more than just sell, we want our business to be a meeting point and a point of reference. We receive as much as we give and that makes us grow.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

This current situation creates uncertainty in all aspects of life and the commercial area is not far behind. At the moment we cannot make direct sales in our shops, which is our strong point, the proximity to the customer. We will try to strengthen the website to be able to make online sales and promote social networks even more.

Interview to the commerce

What services and products does your business provide?

We are dedicated to the sale of furniture and decoration of original pieces from the 50s and 60s from Central Europe. We also rent these pieces for events or props.
We also have a space for temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists.
