When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

A multifunctional space in the heart of Madrids Rastro. Klouví is a shop-workshop-gallery where, in addition to the daily work in the workshops, exhibitions, street markets and showrooms are held from time to time. There are also courses and workshops on engraving, sewing and restoration.

What is the history of your commerce?

Klouví was founded in 2012. It is a workshop shared by five girls trained in different disciplines related to art. A place of work open to exchange, where the singularity of personal creation is enriched by the collective work with other artists, designers and craftsmen.
We are committed to a form of artisan work and creative design.

What is your professional experience?

We are a group of five girls with different experiences. Klouví has served us as a meeting point. A space where we can develop our creative and educational activity. At the same time it offers us the possibility to show our way of working and sell our designs directly to the public without going through intermediaries.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

It is a very hard time as we had to close during the quarantine months. And now the outlook is not at all easy. We have reopened and we are doing our best to keep our space but the rents are very expensive and in our case it is very difficult to negotiate with the owners.
We tried to give facilities to all the designers who collaborate with Klouvi but the commercial activity in the area has been considerably reduced due to the fact that the Rastro de Madrid is not open.
