When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

Brumalis stands out mainly for the sensitivity of its owner, Mariluz Peñlaver, and for her good taste in flowers and romantic feral aesthetics.

What is the history of your commerce?

I was dedicated to the world of fine arts and graphic design, but there came a time in my life when I needed to make a personal and professional change. It was clear to me that what I wanted was to get away from the screens and do something with my hands. I never thought about flowers, but they came to me in a totally casual way. When I started making bouquets and arrangements, I had no idea about technique or flowers, but I liked to play with composition, colours, harmony... All in a very free way at a time when the world of floristry was very boring.

What is your professional experience?

My first experience was in a Federica and Co garden, where I set up a small flower stall. I don't remember who bought the first bouquet, because it was someone anonymous who didn't know that I was in front of someone who didn't know anything about flowers. I took a crash course to find suppliers, I did a lot of research and little by little I met people who helped me. I have achieved everything by working hard and on my own. I have not had any financial help from my family or an investor.
