Interview to the commerce

When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

We consider Enraizarte to be more than a shop. It is an active and dynamic project that promotes part of Mexican culture, traditions and crafts.
In five years we have consolidated and made ourselves known in various parts of Spain and Europe.
Starting in a complicated stage in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic.

What is the history of your commerce?

We have been living outside Mexico for almost twenty years, nine of them in Madrid. When we arrived here, we visualised the idea of promoting the vast and joyful craftsmanship of our country, seeing that there were very few spaces that could do so in a capital city like this one. So we embarked on this adventure, finally opening a space in the heart of Madrid, in the Barrio de las Letras, in December 2019.

Daniela Flores Magón is the creator and director of the Enraizarte project.
She has more than 20 years of experience as a painter, paper sculptor and multidisciplinary artist. She has exhibited her work and given workshops in Mexico, Holland, Singapore and Spain.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

We opened three months before the closure.
The first year was complicated for this reason, but little by little, we have managed to overcome the crisis and now we have been growing and making ourselves known in different areas with a very good reception.

What services and products does your business provide?

Enraizarte is a cultural project where we promote the work of Mexican artisans, designers and artists, and give workshops for the appreciation of handmade pieces. We also produce artistic pieces and set up installations and decorations for spaces and events related to Mexican culture.
