This is a monument erected in the Plazuela de Antón Martín, opposite the Monumental Theatre, in memory of the five labour lawyers who were murdered on 24 January 1977 in their office at 55 Atocha Street. The monument recreates the painting El abrazo, painted by Juan Genovés, which is exhibited in the Congress of Deputies. It was erected in 2003. A plaque at the base commemorates those who were assassinated.
