When you think about your business, what are you most proud of?

What makes me most proud is that MadKpop is a place where people come not only to shop, but also to share what they like and feel part of something.

We bring K-pop closer to fans by importing albums and official merchandise directly from Korea, so they can enjoy it at a fair price.

We love seeing how people who come here alone end up finding their group here.

What is the history of your commerce?

We started our project in 2019, but then COVID hit and we had to put it on hold until 2021, when we were finally able to make it a reality.

We had been K-pop fans for years and knew how difficult it was to get hold of albums and merchandise, especially in Madrid, where you could only find items from two or three groups in large stores, and often at exorbitant prices.

That's why we decided to open a physical store where everyone could have K-pop at their fingertips. After a lot of hard work, excitement and uncertainty, we managed to open our doors... and here we are, almost four years later, bringing a little piece of Korea to every fan who visits us!

What is your professional experience?

Before becoming self-employed, we worked in catering, retail and other sectors.

We decided to take the leap because we wanted to devote our time and effort to something that really excited us, and we saw an opportunity to meet a real need: a place in Madrid where fans could easily find K-pop, close to home and at a good price.

It was a big change, full of challenges and learning experiences, but also the best decision we have ever made.

How has covid 19 affected your business?

We hadn't opened yet, but it delayed the launch of our project, which we had already completed at that point, by more than a year.

What services and products does your business provide?

At MadKpop, we offer albums, official merchandise, imported magazines, soundtracks, and other products, all brought directly from Korea to guarantee authenticity and variety.

We also have a photocard exchange and trading area so fans can complete their collections. We also organise small events where we share new releases and prepare different gifts or freebies for everyone.
